Slime Care
IMPORTANT: Clean Hands and Surfaces
- Always play with clean hands! Wash your hands thoroughly with soap, scrubbing under your nails, before playing.
- Clean surfaces: Always wash the surface you put your slime on before and after playing.
- Prevent mold: Playing with clean hands and on clean surfaces helps prevent mold from developing on your slime.
Handling Sticky Slime
- Initial Stickiness: Your slime may arrive sticky or become sticky after play due to temperature, body heat, or skin dryness.
-
For Clear Slime:
- Add a few drops of activator to your hands.
- Touch the slime until it reaches the desired consistency.
-
For Other Slime Types:
- Add one or two drops of activator directly to the slime in the tub.
- Gently fold the activator into the slime.
- Repeat if necessary until the slime has the perfect feel.
Fixing Melted Slime
-
When melted (very liquidy) due to heat:
- Pour the slime into a medium mixing bowl.
- Stir in a few drops of activator at a time until it forms a perfect blob.
- Leave it untouched for a few days to clear up again.
Caution with Activator
- Too much activator: Adding too many drops will make your slime lose its stretch and break apart.
- Adjust carefully: Go slowly when adjusting stickiness to avoid over-activating.
Fixing Over-Activated Slime
- If over-activated: Add more glue, glycerin, or water to thin out the slime.
- Knead until perfect: Knead the slime until it reaches your desired consistency.
Softening Hard Clay Slime
- If too hard: Add non-scented lotion and knead until it’s the perfect consistency.
Activator Preparation
-
Activator Solution:
- Take the small packet of white powder (½ teaspoon of borax powder).
- Add it to ½ cup of warm water.
- Stir until completely dissolved.
WARNING
- Borax activator solution should not be ingested. Clearly mark the bottle to avoid confusion, as it looks like water.
